Theater and dance performance – War Changes Lives

The Gender Equality Festival – the 17th edition – stubbornly insists on staying under the sign of hope and invites you to uncomfortable and challenging but topical conversations. A sensitive text that tells us about the priorities and limits of the human being, War Changes Lives brings to the fore the crisis in the lives of young people in Ukraine, who, with the outbreak of the war, found themselves in the situation of making one of the most difficult choices: love or security.

This is a show entirely conceived by the young high school students from Sibiu, in collaboration with young people from the Ukrainian community, which they will perform on stage under the coordination of Doriana Tăut on October 28, from 6:00 p.m. The show is addressed to anyone over the age of 15 and will be translated into Ukrainian.

The show will be followed by a performance of the local dance groups Iron Kids and Baby Bones from the Young Till Death dance company, under the direction of Alexandru Svaricek.

What is forum theater?
Forum theater is a form of social theater that involves an interactive technique that allows the spectator to become the hero himself. By stepping into the shoes of the characters, the audience exercises their empathy and emotional intelligence. Forum theater represents an opportunity for a society that wants to evolve through the exchange of opinions.The event will be an opportunity to interact with the Ukrainian community from Sibiu and at the same time a chance to better understand the pressures under which people make decisions in crisis situations.

Фестиваль гендерної рівності – 17-й випуск – вперто наполягає на тому, щоб залишатися під знаком надії та запрошує до незручних і складних, але актуальних розмов. Делікатний текст, який розповідає нам про пріоритети та межі людського буття, «Війна змінює життя» виводить на перший план кризу в житті молодих людей в Україні, які з початком війни опинилися в ситуації один із найважчих виборів: любов чи безпека.

Це шоу, повністю задумане молодими старшокласниками з Сібіу у співпраці з молодими людьми з української громади, яке вони виконають на сцені під керівництвом Доріани Теут 28 жовтня о 18:00. Вистава адресована всім віком від 15 років і буде перекладена українською мовою.

Після шоу відбудуться виступи місцевих танцювальних колективів Iron Kids і Baby Bones танцювальної компанії Young Till Death під керівництвом Александру Сваричека.

Що таке форум-театр?
Форум-театр — це форма соціального театру, яка передбачає інтерактивну техніку, що дозволяє глядачеві самому стати героєм. Потрапляючи на місце героїв, глядачі проявляють свою емпатію та емоційний інтелект. Форум-театр — це можливість для суспільства, яке хоче розвиватися через обмін думками. Подія стане можливістю поспілкуватися з українською громадою Сібіу та водночас шансом краще зрозуміти тиск, під яким люди приймають рішення в кризові ситуації.
