A.L.E.G. association is an active organisation since 2004 in preventing and combating violence against women and promoting gender equality.
During this times we offer:

Psycho-social support for refugee women from Ukraine based in Sibiu County, with interpretation in UA:
Discussions for identifying the personal and group needs
Psycho-social support groups: support groups are addressed to Ukrainian women and are organized by psychologists from A.L.E.G. with experience in offering support for gender based trauma management. Group experiences create a bonding and offer a space that stimulates stabilization and healing. Group dynamics facilitates dealing with fear, frustration, the feeling of being powerless and pain and stimulates personal resources to regain power, trust, courage and dignity. The support groups are a form of counseling for trauma management, organized for free and coordinated by an experienced psychologist. We will approach personal development, management of life and loss uncertainty topics through growing resilience and redefining the perspectives of personal life stories.
Location: Str. Mitropoliei, no. 17 (DWS office). For women with children we can organize programs for children during the activities if the case.
Awareness and informational session regarding women rights and preventing gender based violence

Short thematics workshops (eg. yoga, self-defense courses, cultural nights)

Professional training for specialists in the field of refugee trauma management and integrating gender perspective in humanitarian assistance. This applies for all specialists working with children and families from Ukraine: psychologists, social assistance, educators, doctors, paramedics, volunteers, translators.
- Dignity kits for the women and kids in need (backpacks including basic hygiene products and other necessities).
