Strengthening the #ȘiEuReușesc Survivors’ Network Project

For me, #ȘiEuReușesc is a safe space. Here I met you, strong and courageous women, with whom I fought the same battle. I learned about healthy relationships and was able to say out loud: I DESERVE A BETTER LIFE. It was hard for me to free myself from fear, to stop being afraid of tomorrow, of what people will say, of thoughts that would not give me peace and often told me that I would not be able to cope. But I know now that I AM A WINNER! I may not have much, but there is peace at home. And the home is a mirror of the soul. I was lucky to be guided by specialists from the A.L.E.G. Association, to be part of the support groups and online workshops, to meet you.
– Claudia told us, after 10 months in which we met at the support groups, but also during the online workshops.

For 10 months, we carried out the project “Strengthening the #ȘiEuReușesc Survivors Network” which had as its main goal supporting victims of domestic violence and promoting healthy and autonomous relationships. Here is what we achieved together:

• We provided over 450 hours of free psychological counseling and information to more than 150 women, victims of domestic violence
• We organized 6 online healthy relationship groups with a total of 84 participants and another 229 women received resources
• Over 140 women participated in 12 online personal development workshops, with the involvement of specialists from various communities and another 495 received resources. Some of the topics addressed were: Commitment to self-esteem, Practicing gratitude, How I take care of myself.
• The 3 Smart Heart groups (online and offline) brought together 56 young people and teenagers, eager to learn the difference between a healthy and an unhealthy relationship, and another 15 received resources.

We, the A.L.E.G. team, thank you for being with us and we aim to continue offering guidance and psychological counseling and to keep close to the community of winners. Therefore, the support group meetings in Sibiu and Cluj-Napoca will continue in the absence of funding. Help us continue. Donate HERE.
