The Gender Equality Festival \u2013 the 18th edition \u2013 challenges activism and involvement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gender equality is a piece of the puzzle of equal rights, meaning the art of valuing a person regardless of whether they are a woman or a man, regardless of race, ethnicity, social class, or other labels. An art that is cultivated, a puzzle that is built by each of us. We nurture these values through social mobilization, civic initiatives, and various forms of activism: something you do out of conviction, not just for your own well-being but also for those around you. Caring about people who are different from you means making the community a better place for everyone. This is the theme that A.L.E.G. is addressing this year with young people at the Gender Equal<\/strong><\/span>ity Festival 2023, from October 4th to 7th, at its 18th edition<\/strong> because becoming mature also means <\/span>being active in a world where rights and freedoms must be constantly defended<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gender Equality Festival is an awareness campaign<\/strong>\u00a0aiming primarily young people to help them become familiar with concepts such as\u00a0human<\/strong> rights and women\u2019s rights and to see beyond stereotypes and prejudices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Gender Equality Festival\u00ae is an annual campaign that brings closer to the community a positive alternative to the unequal power relations that produce injustice, abuse and discrimination, organized by the A.L.E.G. Association. (www.aleg-romania.eu).
