The Gender Equality Festival is an<\/span> awareness campaign<\/b> addressed primarily to young people to help them become familiar with concepts such as <\/span>human rights and women\u2019s rights and to see beyond stereotypes and prejudices.<\/b> Designed with and for young people, this year\u2019s festival will approach themes such as <\/span>refugees and migration<\/b> \u2013 how we would like to be treated when we live far from home \u2013 and will analyze what inequalities are deepening in the shadow of war and how we can counter them. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Over the summer, the A.L.E.G. team trained 20 volunteers on equal rights and non-violence. In an exchange of experience with young Ukrainians, the volunteers created a script for a play entitled <\/span>\u201cWar Changes Lives<\/b>\u201d, which they <\/span>will stage at the Gong Theatre<\/b>, as part of a forum theater event, where the audience can be involved in changing the outcome.\u00a0The event will be an opportunity to interact with the Ukrainian community from Sibiu and at the same time a chance to better understand the pressures under which people make decisions in crisis situations.<\/span><\/p>\n Also on the topic of hope in troubled times, together with young people <\/span>we will write messages at Ziarul Orizontal, <\/b>with the support of the artist Dan Perjovski, we will debate what <\/span>inequalities look like for Generation Z<\/b>, we will talk about <\/span>European funding opportunities offered by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values 2021-2027 program, but also about how we can contribute to a more peaceful world.<\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
